Had a problem seeing the video on here but that's the best I have seen at Teahupoo.
Respect for riding with the lines through the lip and thanks for explaining about the lines/lip thickness . It actually adds to the excitement/danger to see them cut through the wave.
Now someone has to figure out how to get a bit deeper in the tube without the lines going through the lip - maybe with a specialised kite design?

It's more a question of wind direction. Looks like the wind is side off there which means the kite is put in a position that is above and behind the wave. If it was more side shore I don't think it would be a problem. Awesome video though. Makes kitesurfing in waves look really good.
