Board-pass trick

I'm trying to master the board-pass trick, but I'm not suceeding passing the board behind my back and back to the first hand... I saw one video showing a board-pass from one hand to the other, but in my case I'm not used to putting the board back to my feet using the right hand, so I'm trying to grab the board back with my left hand, moving the board an entire circle around my body.
Is there anything I'm missing, or is it just a matter of jumping as high as possible to have enough time to move the board all way around my body?
I'd appreciate some videos showing this trick, please.

I learned by sitting on a stool and putting the board on-and-off for several hours. if you could rig a hanging bar to practice on that would be even better.
Try doing the trick so you take the board off with your front hand and putting the board back on with your back hand,

I do it with taking it off with the right hand and putting it back on with the left. Practice that like mentioned before on a chair or hanging bar.

You have to be very quick to do it. And use a handle. This no handle thing is totally stupid...with a handle you can do way more tricks, so you are not so limited.

And if you have enough hangtime, you can pass it two times...give it a try!
We filmed a lot the last days, I am sure I have the single pass on tape...and maybe even the double pass. We also will film maybe tomorrow with a go pro on the board...let's see how this will turn out!

I can easily take the board off with my left hand, rotate it and then put my feet back, this has been easy, as well as just taking it, kicking feet up and completing the trick, however the right hand simply freezes! I'll practice as you mentioned, I know it is just a matter of time and persistence to get the trick nailed down.

Thank you both for your help.

By the way, Toby, I could see you often come to Brasil every year, so, maybe next year I'll meet you in Cumbuco, I'd like to watch you sending old-school tricks. I usually go to Fortaleza by September, I'll try to be there next October. Are you speaking Portuguese already?

claro, falo!

Sure, let me know when you come. And practice some more, since we are lacking good old school riders for the Kite Show Cumbuco to compete in Best Hooked !

And the lagoon will help you to get better quickly ;-)

I should be having a video this year, with gopro cam and good normal cam...we were shooting the last days and during the Kite Show Cumbuco 2009.

I am working on a sick new trick...hopefully will land it by tomorrow!

Hi, Toby! Any news on the new video with the Gopro camera?? I've just ordered the HD one, and I'm willing to put my hands on it and record my first video!

no, nothing...something broke, so we couldn't do it! Really bad.

But we did a nice old school video with Flysurfer...will be nice...and show new tricks, I am sure no one did before.

GoPro next year.
