Jeff Howard from kiteboarding.com explaining what makes a kite better for jumping. Looks like he suggests the Ozone edge but any kite designed for racing will work. I own switch nitro 2's and in the bigger sizes they definitely hang you up there for a while.

Yeah Any High Aspect ratio kite with nice hang and glide will do the job. I'm not a specialized Old School rider but have really enjoyed Petert Lynn Fury and Fury Light kite.
