And don't forget, Airstyle is about having fun and doing a show, just like Alvaro did.

Be sure the organizer of the German event wants Airstyle, but there is always more to it which I won't explain to you.

How about you do your things and let other do theirs?
There is nothing you will loose but a lot to win for others.

More events, more prizemoney, more team riders, more media, more specialized gear, more happy people.
I don't understand your limited thinking.

First thing I don't understand what these people have against Toby.

Second thing to me Airstyle is the same as old school which is more authentic then let's say wake style or wave riding or racing.

And back in the days people were doing the same things as Toby does nowadays, but then more simple.

This is because they never kept pushing it and evolution of airstyle stopped, instead they started going towards wakestyle.

In the old days wakeboarders that crossed over to kite boarding would get bad judgement if there performance was to much wake stylish.

Nowadays it's the contrary if Ruben lenten does some big jumps in a heat he gets bad judgement.

The only thing that's quite new are the slides and jusus walks back in the days people didn't do that.

Plus one for Airstyle/oldschool.

I hate wakestlye is boaring. just go wake boarding. Also I hate sliders etc. a video of the same person hitting the same slider over and over again is just dull.

My local spot I would say Airstyle/Old school is what most people do. Jumps, Kiteloops, board offs, grabs and rotations. Why? partly because they might be easier but mostly because they are fun to do.

If you like wake style good for you, but don't knock what other people like or the world would be a boring place!

Something I don't get:

I don't see Airstylers posting negative in wakestyle topics or forums.

I always see wakestylers posting negative in Airstyle topics and forums.

Where is your problem? Leave us alone, we don't care about your problems!

At the very least, Airstyle is original to the the sport of kiteboarding.
Wakestyle is nothing but trying to emulate another sport. If people think Wakestyle is so pure, they should just go get a boat.

To be be honested I think wake stylers are just afraid to jump high, probably there scared of Heights.

Oldschool isn't simple I mean you can do a backroll and you can do a BACKROLL.

Just poping a backroll is simple, but try doing it like 4 a 5 meters high.
It is likely you are going to over rotate, automatically it will become a dubbel backroll which is cool as well but doing a big backroll isn't simple.

This is just a simple example.

I know for sure that Airstyle will come back because the sport is still growing.
There are a lot newcomers, all of them think that doing tricks is something for the pro's.
That's something i have thought for years untill I tried my first backroll.
Now I can do so many tricks I never imagined to be possible.
I expect within 2 or 3 years people will start doing more tricks and airstyle will come back.
Probably first for amateurs and later on for pro's.

Dear All

Created this post to discuses Airstyle Tournaments. This is not a debate post. If you want to be a hater and post negative issues post somewhere else.

I would like to take the chance to thank Toby for all he has done for the sport. You are a true pioneer. Thank you for answering all my post and email. You have been a great help for my kiting progress. Haters will be haters, we can't think much of it.

Airstyle is the style I like so I will do my best to see Airstyle grow. If you like another style good for you, post in the forum that discuss your style, all the best for you. Hope you have as much fun doing your style as we enjoy Airstyle :)

Thank YOU TOBY
