Hi brah,

I'm seb from Guadeloupe Island, I would like to adapt a sort of micro hook system on my Switchkites controller. Is there any way to modify easily my controller?

Cheers

not yet! But the Switch Bar could be turned into a bar with a microloop.
It just needs a hook onto its metal part above the QR.
Any designer out there?

How about repurposing a sliding-stopper as a micro-hook, as shown below. I simply took a round file to one of mine. I don't have a micro-loop yet, however this configuration looks like it might work.

Both North and Core use to produce micro-hooks, however neither still does. I suspect this is due to safety concerns and potential liability issues. Fortunately, the North Micro-loops are still available, and that the Switch bars have a solid aluminum thru hole. Placement of the loop will be critical to it's function and strength. Best of luck to you.

That looks sweet!

All North has to do is to reproduce the old bar.
As good as it gets, no need for all the latest gimmicks on the new bars...

The top part of the sliding-stopper can be cut down to about half of it's length, in order to increase the bar throw and easy hooking-up. What's the diameter of the North Micro-loop?

Toby,
I got my new Micro-loop in the mail today. Do you have any advice for me before I start drilling, regarding proper placement to my Switch bar? What angle? What width? Etc...

Thanks

I never drilled...so don't know.

But choose an angle away from the center. Do you have my DVD? Watch the gear part where I took about it and see the clips for the angle and you will know what I mean.

Distance you can also imagine from the video. Don't have anything to measure with me.
