Okay so here's something to ponder. We all know Toby uses the flyboard radical and obviously it must have some attributes which lend itself to being a good airstyle board, but if you were to make a list of must have design features on airstyle board what would they be.
Why ask this, you may ask?
Well we've been banging on about the ultimate kite design for this sector of our sport but has anyone bothered to consider the other half of the equation given the same rider.
The radical is not built specifically for airstyle is it now. And there are some very specific boards now for some very specific styles, but nothing for this one. We just kind of fit them into what we do.
But I bet we could come up with some superior design criteria for manufacturers to consider.
I see plenty of boards that have possible attributes but then lack in other areas for this style.
Thoughts?
Ps this comes from a position of opinion that we really don't spend enough time considering our board choices and they make a bigger differences than we give them (boards) credit for. The board and the kite gotta blend well.
