Why aren’t the big players making these as standard on there bars? Surely this is the way forward and an actual game changer for a lot of people instead of things like the north click bars extremly exspensive simple pigtail replacement system. something that is actually useful engineered into a bar?
Liability.

Good question.

Maybe liability, maybe not understanding that this tool is important for trick progression.

But, doesn’t matter if we soon get an add on that fits all bars.

Quick update - the creator of the "pro-hook" or "air-hook" (name TBD) had the parts for several prototypes sent to me and I received them today. Its a pretty elegant device that looks pretty effective. Next steps are for me to assemble some of the prototypes and then do some testing on different bars. Leaving the country tomorrow so this will probably be in the next 2 weeks, just in time for some wind. Stay tuned all !

Any new info regarding microloop? :?:
Last weeks I was thinking about making them out of carbon fiber. Since I use north/duotone and majority of people use the same, I was thinking making it brand specific. Replacing plastic part with carbon fibre hook part and making another piece for microloop that replaces slider between deepower lines. Making everything as dscrete as possible.
I do not see a problem making it for other brands as well.

What do you guys think? I can not imagine how to make it universal and not too complicated for user. Of course I might be wrong.

There are proctor being tested currently.

Not sure when the Kickstarter campaign will start.

But go ahead and build something, the more ideas the better!

Ok guys so here's an update...Today is correct - a kickstarter campaign will be launched after some testing. Currently, it works on most bars but does require some different sizing depending upon the bar. I could not get it on a click bar but he is going to send me one that might work. I was able to get it working on my Quad bar. He's still testing but I think you can expect something soon. The product works well but learning to use a microloop is a different story.
So for example, when using it you really have to get used to the bar being locked down; not being able to sheet in and out while up in is a little unnerving especially when you have been doing this for years as a way to intuitively stabilize the kite and control your trajectory. Also, you really have to pay attention to where the kite is when you leave the water. I had the tendency of the kite getting behind me, especially when I took my hands off the bar. This is all probably just rookie mistakes and I need more practice with it but the point is that I thought the gear would suddenly enable me to do all kinds of new stuff but (as I have learned before) near gear introduces new things to learn and assimilate. And that what makes all this stuff great.

All said, I would definitely recommend building something.

Ok, will do something and keep you updated. If it is not completely universal I see no reason in doing few different ones for big brands that fit perfectly.
Are there any photos of this system?

Good luck finding some
