Pansh is cheapest kites you can buy, and foil. Well cheapest outside crazy closeouts and insider deals.

If Flysurfer sold with prices similar to Switch they would have a bigger piece of the market. I am surprised no mergers have occurred in the industry. Few of the large tube brands would compliment well with Flysurfer.

I personally know what it takes to land what are considered advanced tricks and they are easier on tubes. If advanced rider choose foil over tube he may then have more trouble doing trick to the same level. That is because tube kites are easier.

It's a funny thing brands push that their Pros are on their gear or certain models or types of kites because they need them. Reality is pros can do well on anything. This is well known to many, except new users and the inexperienced. Certain styles for instance wakestyle, are just fine on foil kites particularly in lightwind. The complications of foils getting tangled etc are where just some of the problems exist. Most other things suffer from the poor response, slow turn, vague feel and inertia of a foil.
So true... too an extent. Look at the old wainman and leboe 2 line picklefork vids. The range of specific gear these days is ridiculous, but it seems to keep the newbs and the 'all gear no idea' types busy, especially on kf with the weekly 'gamechanger' and 'which board for mowing the lawn' threads lol.

Foil kites like the Soul and the speed 5 are better for airstyle in low wind above the 25 knots a tube is recomendable because it just loops better. and with strong winds the bridles are a hassle

Exactly!

The big brands have pushed this image thing beyond the joke. It got to the point basically the only new thing on some kites was the graphics. Fact is you can have fun on a plank( Alaia, skim), cheap surfboard and a 2 line kite,(well 4 line is big improvement :-) ). Gear does improve but very slowly. There are kites from 2003 that a perfectly relevant today and in fact still in use! It's great there are some brands now with cheap and decent gear.

Personally I like a more difficult kite (foils) and more difficult riding style (strapless and often finless). I prefer to be hooked because, I am not a teenager anymore and need to work.
