Front mobe question

Postby mark van haze » Sun Nov 22, 2009 6:19 pm

I need to get this straight so i thought id ask here.

Is this a proper front mobe or just an inverted s-bend with an airpass:

Because watching Aarons video, you need a second rotation to complete the front mobe:

Not a front mobe, as far as i know you need to complete the 1st 360º before passing the bar then do another 2nd rotation as you said

Thanks. Im surprised that I only got one answer here. Usually there are hundreds of experts on this forum for any query but not when it comes to freestyle moves.
So whats the single rotation variant called then?

The first video is not a front mobe, it is a "dangle pass" aka "pullup".

The second video isn't a front mobe as such either, it is a type of "front mobius" but isn't "the" front mobe.
A front mobe technically is a front roll + front side 360.
The trick Aaron is trying to do is a "front blind mobe" (front flip + back side 360) but he doesn't do it right, instead does a kind of kite high pullup style variant.
If you watch his newest video on his site you will see him perform the front blind mobe correctly.

So we have some front pass like this
S-mobe is an s bend then air pass from blind an landing normal
Nis - is a 50% front roll wit an air pass from wrapped and landing normal
Slim - is an inverted front roll and air pass from wrapped and landing normal
front mode what is ?? a 100% front roll with air pass from blind and landing normal???
And if like this what the diference from s-mode??? in the one you start from s-bend and the other you start from front roll??? I see the progresion pro and if you see hadlow do front modes in the video is dont look like this and he did from my switch side and is not very clear to me
body moves and pass and not 100% what the corect. Any help??

Im thoroughly confused. Please someone post a video of a proper, real front mobe. NOT a blind one.

Wrong...
Heres how it is;

S-mobe = Sbend into Front Side 360
NIS = Made up name by kiteboarders for a "front mobe"
Slim = Front flip with Front Side 360
Front Mobe = Front roll into Front Side 360
Front blind mobe = Front flip into Back Side 360

*** To the guy above a "proper real "front mobe" is what dangle boarders call an "NIS"...

P.s. You can thank all the "pro kiteboarders" for f#cking this shit up... what a mess.

Wrong again!
NIS = Noen Inverted Slim, and not a made up name for a front mobe :jump:

Hahaha, another kiteboarder... Need to check your sources bro, thats exactly what a front mobe is  .
If you are going to use all the wakeboarding names for the rest of the tricks, why start making up your own names for things that already have a name? NIS is a name a kiteboarder with no idea made up.
