Call the police I’ve been robbed!!!

Just thought I’d let you know if your living in the UK to be aware of import charges. Me being impatient, well I couldn’t wait to get my hands on the new GoPro LCD screen, so in my haste I ordered it on-line from GoPro.

First mistake, always read the small print!

So, in my haste I paid 79 dollars for the screen and 79 dollars for the courier, yes I know, mental.

So it arrives, very pleased with it, did the firmware upgrade, everything works great.

Still regretting the 79 dollars courier charge but I swallowed that.

A week later I get a bill from FedEx wanting 39 dollars duty which they have paid on my behalf! Hence reading the small print…

So all in all its been costly, and I only blame myself, so, beware. LCD screen 79 dollars, postage/duty over 100 dollars!!! Their coming to get me in the white coats!!

I get caught everytime I buy anything from the States, skateboard parts, bike parts everything over £18 value gets hit for vat, more than that duty aswell. Then you have to pay £6 to parcelforce for them to send you a bill...stand and deliver

Ah yes the UK is famous for it's postal high jinx. Bad luck
And I won't ever buy anything from the UK again unless I'm utterly desperate ...
