Riding on sand with boots

Postby pistolpete » Mon Apr 17, 2017 9:52 pm

How do you ride on sand with boots to get into the water in offshore wind. I tried it but couldn't get my board sliding. Any advice?

Reduce the drag by getting on the heel edge of the board. Dry sand is better than wet sand. But be warned this does eat away at the grind base on the board. My 2017 Refraction is all ready all most thru the base on the heel edge. Mine is more from riding up on the beach instead of off of it. If it's off shore I just jump.

two or three sand starts and your board will be ruined. My boards are all trashed so I do it anyway. lean back and loop the kite if you don't have enough power.
