January 19th to the 26th I am in Dakhla , Morocco, organizing a week long kiteboarding camp and clinic.
Dakhla is an incredible spot, and caters for both waveriders and freeriders. We have a 40km long lagoon, waves on the coastal side, and perfect 20knots of sideshore wind. The temperature is warm, so its a nice escape from the cold European winter!
The purpose of the kiteboarding clinic is to bring people of different levels together, to improve their general kiteboarding level. Im going to be helping people learn new, more advanced moves, both freestyle and waveriding.
After the kiting, we have plenty of time for some fishing in the lagoon, and finally settle down in the evening for a tasty tagine or cous cous. Dakhla is a true paradise.

Our action packed week in the perfect kiteboarding spot of Dakhla is almost over! We have had perfect wind every single day, and plenty of sunshine. Its been a great escape from this year's cold European winter! These past seven days have been spent surfing the waves on the ocean, freestyling in the flat water lagoon, and doing 20km downwinders to the 'Duna Blanca'.

We had men and women of many different ages and nationalities participating in the clinic. Each person concentrated on reaching certain kiteboarding goals for the week, and everyone progressed loads!

The camp at Dakhla is in the perfect location. We are able to just wake up, have breakfast, and hit the water right away! Our bungalows look directly onto the lagoon, a truly fantastic view to wake up to. After the morning sessions, we all get together again for lunch, delicious grilled fish and moroccan salads, and then back to kiting for a good afternoon session. After the days activities, there is nothing better than a nice traditional mint tea whilst watching the sun go down. It sounds exhausting, but there has also been plenty of time to lie in the sun and read books!
