Where is the ventilation and, or chemical masks for those laminating with epoxy?
Huge surface areas being done, tons of toxic fumes!
One would be very careful posting such a video in the USA as OSHA surly would have something to say.
I wonder what the Indonesian Authorities would say or do if they knew! With video as proof even!
Really, I am sorry, but I have been following the "C" soap opera for years, but this is to much!!
Is this why he can sell his product for so cheap? And what are they paid?
If he is willing to overlook the health of his employees, what else?
Really, I have tried to stay out of this, but what do you think?
Sorry TOBY for being so outspoken, but really!!
Since you seems to "know" a lot about composites, you are probably a composite engineer? NOTTone wrote: These are only the boards, I wonder under what conditions the foils are made!
I am not a composite engineer.Rotule wrote:Since you seems to "know" a lot about composites, you are probably a composite engineer? NOTTone wrote: These are only the boards, I wonder under what conditions the foils are made!
i suggest you start your own topic named "flaming and whinning"
don't worry, i do agree that the safety equipement is too low in this, but i do know as well that the "value of life" (i don't know if you can say this in english) in those emerging countries is usually a lot lower than here. And my guess is that the safety regulation in those countries are low to inexistant in the composite domain.FrederikS wrote:So the minimum safety gear for working with epoxy assuming you have a well ventilated area is. For hand lay-up this is the standard in the EU.
A2P2 or better class mask
Full cover work clothes
Two layer of classed nitrile gloves
Main rule is limit exposure and chance and exposure. Here we see women in regular clothes. They are definitely not wearing correct masks. They are using their hands to distribute epoxy.
And to counter Rotule, yes I have an engineering degree in composites design and manufacturing.
Completely agree with Tone here.
