I find that jumping my hydrofoil is surprisingly easy. But I cannot seem to go very high and I am not sure what I should be doing when landing. Sometimes I ride away and sometimes I crash.

Any tips would be appreciated.

Yip, I also need some tips for the landing part. I seem to get some decent height simply be going out well powered instead of being very underpowered as I normally am for foilboarding.

But I find landing quite tricky and fall off for most of them. Any tips would be welcome.

Timing!
The altitude you plan to reach depends on the kite position, board's speed and heading in a moment you are out of water.
Jump as high as possible:
- max speed,
- leave water with a kite a second before reaching the zenith
- set the board's heading 20-30 degrees into the wind and pull a bar in that moment.

Jump as long as possible:
- max speed
- leave water with a kite a bit earlier and don't drag it through the zenith
- set the board's heading 0-10 degrees into the wind and pull a bar in that moment.

Landing.
I land 10-30 degrees downwind and to guarantee soft water entry the kite timing is essential again.
Just before entering the water you need to keep a kite in the power zone. More pull (a kite arleady around 30 degrees above the horizont line) = softer landing. Leaving a kite in the zenith during landing = crash.
Landing without touching the water is so sweet :D
There is many vids you can observe it.
