The plate was used back in the early days when nobody knew what board might work. I expect the plate mounting will disappear because:
1. It adds unnecessary weight both in carbon and bolts
2. It makes the board less streamlined underneath
3. It is more difficult (expensive) to manufacture
4. It is more difficult to pack when travelling

The Tuttle box seems to work fine and is widely used. Alpine uses something they call a f box which looks to me like a squared Tuttle type of shape that uses one bolt. Is this the same as what Taaroa calls the "Pro Box"? Perhaps a new standard will emerge which would be great.

For comparison can you imagine windsurfing if every manufacturer had their own way of attaching their sail and mast to their board (actually they did in the very early days of windsurfing).

Might be the new sword fuse front?
download.jpeg
Looks good as the huge lever force that was there on the older model is gone.
I am all but convinced that having this strut to fuse connection place is best, at least for now?
Note F wing top profile and clean carbon layup.

Sure hope I get to test fly one soon.......

Looks like a good idea, I really like being able to fine tune the foils lift point on the board! :thumb:
Easy to understand plate mounting system adjustability but as for a tuttle sliding?
How does it work with tuttle only please? Pictures maybe?
How about scoop and rocker photos as well. Specs?
Thanx :D

Hello Rev,
the plate looks like it is the tuttle box adaptor!
aparently you will always use the plate for the tuttle masts.
it seems that the big box like hole is to acomódate the tuttle insert sliding front to back.
its a adjustable plate tuttle adapter.
if you use a plated mast you wont use the Camet adaptor.
thats what i understand forom the pic.
very good blending of both systems!! :thumb:
universal if spacing distance is equal for plate mounts ex( 90mm between hole).

Its versatile, but particularly for a Tuttle mast, its not an appealing solution - unless you keep switching between different types of mast.

What about us weirdos that like to mount our foils on twin tips ? I think there is or will be a significant amount of us ..

In my limited experience for just freeriding I'm very happy using an old twin tip as my hydrofoil board . much easier to keep a twin tip in my car than a big foilboard, plus I saved alot of money because I didnt have to buy a special foil board.
