It looks like there's some manufacturing/destructiblily issues with the new north foil. Saw this on facebook where a guy softly hit a sandbank on his first run. I don't know why they'd use that composite instead of a cnc'ed alu fuselage other than it's cheaper to pump a mold full of resin.

This does not look good?

Second KBHF problem at NKB?

Just saw North foil.
Interesting how little surface area between F wing and fuse.
The board nose has a lot of flex.
Heavy as most alu set ups are.
F wing seems THICK!
Interesting mold joint? on fuse very noticeable.
Did not get to fly it as was cold and owner left before I could.
See Airush KBHF added.

Got mine last Saturday have not ridden yet. First thing that sticks out is how solid the foil setup is compared to a CF build. Board you saw was Free-foil board, yes it has a lot of flex. I got the Pro-foil which is race inspired and has zero flex but a lot of volume.

What mould joint are you speaking about? I know there were a few 'pre-production' models floating around since then have sorted some issues out. Looked at my fuselage and it was produced some time in October if memory serves. Cant notice any flashing that has not been trimmed if that is what you talking about? Did notice one or two stalk markings on the foils which could have been cleaned a bit better. Will probably do it myself.

So great to see such well thought out design, material choice and builds!
Armstrong looks this!
Even if not in the market have a look at their progress!
Seems strange that some larger companies (L F, Naish, Cab,) with which one would think have R+D funds can not come up with
gear as nice as the "smaller" guys.
Bravo!
Sure hope that us here in Europe get a chance to see, fly.
Still the problem of incorrect component word choice even in American (English)!
STRUT NOT MAST!
Really to bad that this is becoming accepted, but seeing, reading a lot of world news, seems alternative facts and all out lies are also going
unchallenged! :angryfire:

Future Foilz

We don´t have a fance web-page etc, and mainly have sold most of our foils in Scandinavia. We are doing custom wings but also have some mould set to get some carbon parts done over seas, Alu fuselages and custom wings are made in Denmark. It is much more fun to create, design and test products than sell and distribute we think :-)

Thoughts?
" Carbon mast/fuselage construction proved to be too delicate for the foil, with both parts breaking in the high loads riding big waves. Most Carbon foils on the market today are quite frail and must be handled very carefully, they crack or even break when you bottom out, or run into objects in the water."

"bomb proof but lightweight 1-piece 6061-T6 aluminum mast/fuselage, & lightweight solid G-10 wings. The mast is also stiffer than any carbon mast, in both flex and torsion,
at nearly the same weight ?
it is almost impossible to break"

I cant agree with this statement, maybe its true for some makes or dodgy internet sales, but where I foil the main brand used is the Moses, thinking more about it, its the only Brand, everyone here seems to use Moses and all its carbon offerings, even my board is carbon, we all sail in tidal waters that get very shallow and we all crash into the sand bars with the resulting superman dismounts that result from this, but never has this damaged any of our gear, yes the wing edges get worn from repeated touchdowns and we have to avoid touching down on any rocky bottoms, but this is easily repaired, and worth the trade off in weight saving, I have a great G10 indestructible front wing, but I never use it as it's not my favourite due to its weight.
