Sorry not wanting to highjack the threat and I realise this is off topic. Do we know what happened and what he's doing now?

You can see it in the photos where Adam Koch is working on his Aguera foil.
Looks very sleek and streamlined. I'm sure the future will be with deep tuttle mountings and very streamlined foils like the Aguera.

silly silly patent, and I don't even think he was the first....

Probably my mistake. I saw mention of patent regarding it and tried to extrapolate from that.

Yeah, it's not patented, it's just the way alex builds his,

What is more interesting is that t alex paints them all pretty colours and Adam Koch sands it all straight off...

Might be an idea if foil builders started finishing their wings in durepox rather than gloss paint and gel coat.

Way more durable and a much faster finish

thanks for posting the attachment lander. it actually means nothing to me as there are three things to consider--the kite, the foil, and the rider--and the chart only shows the rider. wonder how many are flying foils?

The chart that means nothing to you shows clearly what gear people were using, you have to read it

For example it shows that
Adam Koch is using Aguera foil and ELF kites
Maxime Noche is on North kites and Tarroa sword

And so on.. You just have to look in the sponsored section and it's there to see..

FYI Adam Koch is on Foil kites.

The info provided is only for a PRACTICE race so has no bearing on anything other than showing that there isn't a single carafino on the entry list... ;-)

Yes. Looking very mutch forward to the results of the actual race. Of course the rider, the foil, the kite and the conditions plays a role of the result. But if eg. 4 in top 5 uses the same foil you believe and trust that it works well and give you confident when buying or not buying.
Thats why teamriders makes sense in marketing. Just see the effect on the board of Mikes Lab. It was not possible to get because everyone wanted it. So saying these results means nothing is to underestimate the power of human desire ;)

sorry to imply that it meant nothing as it does. it just means nothing to me. I saw the 'sponsors' list and that may be true for those with a foil sponsor...

I'm old school and learned long ago that the best sailors and best racers are often not at the race, as THAT takes money! just the entry fee alone would keep me out of the competition.

I've never been one to follow the crowd as I've always flown foils, since my first PL 840 and 1120 stack. that's why I pay attention for the foil kites. thanks again lander...

What better foil riders are missing? Marc blanc, and some of the French guys from Montpellier maybe but I think there are very few people missing.

The elf kites have proved fast on race boards in certain conditions and some of the ozone riders have the new chrono there as well so how it all shakes out in the end will be great to see.
