Alpine Foils

Postby Cosmo6506 » Tue Apr 01, 2014 5:12 pm

I've been shopping kitefoils and came across www.alpinefoils.com. Anybody riding one of these? Can you give me a review? I'm considering Alpine, MHLift, and Carafino. Thanks.

I have one coming in the mail from France in the next couple of days. Will update when I receive it.
The only hindrance the that is will be my first foil board and I have just started in the foil game. I will let others ride here in Oahu but they too need time to adjust aspect coming from different models. I choose the Alpine because its more versatile at lower speeds then your topical high aspect race foils. I prefer to start My journey with this higher aspect foil then too begin at a fat and wide foil.
The only caveat is that it took three months to fill order and cost was 2000 euros (foil only no board) to get to hawaii. They sent me fbox ahead of time order to make my board.
When I have time I will show pictures of my diy board when I get home work.

From my point of view it is the most attractive foil on the market. It is a work of art.

I cannot pass €2000 past the missus which is why I don't have one! lol

I bought both the foil and the board from AlpineFoil. I haven't learned to ride it yet. It's winter here. I can only comment on the workmanship. It is very high quality. The finish on the board and the foil parts is very smooth. There are no blemishes or bubbles. Although it took awhile, Damien kept in touch and answered any questions I had while I was waiting for the board and foil. It's really very nice. Sometimes, I just like to go and look at it... Later, maybe, I can comment on how it rides and the learning process.

Tone I feel your pain... I am in the same boat.. The wife would kick my ass if I sent 2000euro on a foil... So I had to come up with plan B. :)
