Advice - Board to my Alpine Foil

Postby diogovilla » Mon Apr 14, 2014 4:14 pm

Hi,

I am a heavy guy (105kg) and have this huge race board (182x52). I am ordering an Alpine Foil and considering using this board with it.

Is it going to be a good board to learn on? Should I find another board to use with my Alpine Foil?

Thanks a lot,
DIogo

I guess that would work for learning on. I see all kinds of board shapes and sizes out there.

I believe that Alpine uses their own mounting box, not exactly a Tuttle, which you would have to get from them.

I have the box and have installed it twice. I made the mistake of putting it on my race board that was 2 1/2 thick. The fist attempt was to put it top of the left over stringer. That a mistake because box tilted on the stringer. Removed the stringer and all foam under the box and widen the area and build up the lots of left over carbon pieces. Used lots carbon and micro balls and strong foam for the sides.

You will need to move the front straps further forward.
