It it true that the sword use the same mounting space as the Carafino?
If so, I can interchange the board and foil.

Yes , same mounting ( not diamonds, but square fixation ).
For the moment :D .... new things are coming soon ....

About the video. For me the movie seams to be "speeded up". I come from a wakeboard background and have seen a lot of wakeboard videos. Therefore I note the wake of the boat is not normal. Look at the time 4:50 in the video. Both the wake of the boat and the jetskis in the back looks strange. Agree ? Therefore I surely doubt the claimed 35 mph!
It's clear that the video has been speed up.... :D and it's clear that the foil is not going to 35 mph....maybe 35 km/h......

Please help us to know where 1 (one) delivered to a customer cara 2014 is?

THANK YOU Taaroa!!! That is exactly what I said. There is ZERO chance the boat in that video is going 30+.

CARAFINO....

ENOUGH with the exaggerations. This is getting ridiculous. In my 10 years as a pro rider I've never seen such bad marketing from a company.

Is that the sound of obsolescence for my two month old foil and board? :o

Seriously... love all the innovation but its hard knowing you paid full retail for something that's already been one-upped.

They are just trying to cut the umbilical cord from Carafino.
Carafino has patented the new Diamond Plate Design.

Patenting something doesn't instantly make it a good idea.

It's a novelty ( just like the curved mast) , which is fine as long as it also works.

You've proven a piece of wood will work as a Hydrofoil, so something doesn't need to be highly engineered to work.

I'm looking forward to hearing from the guys who have got their boards this week.

It's umbilical...

Getting worried about an unknown change to a foil that 99.9% of riders worldwide not just on this forum are not using to maximum potential seems a bit daft , yep you spent your money yep in a while they will change something. You still have done of the fastest most technical and well put together foils on the market so just enjoy the damn thing

I would guess at a change to a Tuttle style box or giving it as an option and that's hardly going to change the world.

What no one seems to realise is that foiling is as cheap as it's gonna get,

It's a very niche sport

It's actually much harder than any other discipline, e.g switching from TT to directional etc

If a small French brand with minimal distribution levels selling direct to the end user can charge 1990 euros for a foil think how much it will be when for example Naish, fone airush etc start punting foils and foil boards out?

And what technical developments are they adding to the process other than marketing bullshit that the original foil builders haven't done in 8 or so years already? Not a lot!

Enjoy what we have buy from a solid company that actually designs their own stuff an that works
Waiting for more people to do it and prices to come down hasn't exactly been the greatest strategy when it came to kite prices...

Why will foils break that trend?

It's and…..

Apart from your grammatical faux pas, as ever, James is spot on !

Some of us have been around long enough to see how development trends run out and foils are an interesting sub-division of the sport…… can't wait….
