A friend with a Tig (Sp? ) welder and I both worked on it.
If I had paid big money for that foil I would have looked for a more professional solution.

Double Agent:
is lighter but welded fuse WTF.

board was easier to move around on and change feet but needed more speed to not sink. I bet it'd be better as a standalone too. Also very tough.

is very, very draggy and slow; lift off speed slighty higher than LF and top speed much lower. Needs more power to accelerate and then you pop it up to foil and that's pretty much top speed. I imagine I felt like revhead when stepping down from his high-performance spurious gear

is more stable because it's much less reactive. Kinda dull to play with, felt very heavy underfoot.

is easier to jibe without venting the wing tips :D front wing is narrower.

didn't go upwind as well. . . .

The shop guy and his buddy tried it out with 7 and 9 meter kites. The wind was really gusty so it sucked all round, but they both managed to get up and ride the board on the water with some bunny hops. So really good for beginners . . . God, can't believe I'm going to say this, but I think you'd grow out of it as soon as you tried a different setup.

Might try and punt the LF foil on that board . . .

That's weird, Denisesewa just posted the other day in the crazy foil thread (http://kiteforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=19 ... 16#p931016) that the Cabrinha was like the LF but faster:
Denisesewa wrote:The following is a list of commercial foils I have ridden so far in order of preferance-
Mhl lift 2014 and 15, nice medium speed FR foil, predicatable performance.
Slingshot nf2, heavy but nice ride, medium speed.
Cabrinha double agent, decent ride somewhat like liquidforce but faster, makes noise at times.
TKF Manta, decent ride, smooth and quiet, heavy kinda slow.
liquidforce, slow, twitchy with short fuselage, heavy.
2014 Carafino, absolute junk.
Magic carpet from ebay, almost unridable, junk.
Crazyfoil, not viable for kitefoiling in present configuration.
That being said I prefer my latest diy foil to all of them, it has the most predicatble behavior in all aspects and has advanced my skills bigtime this spring, my mhl is a close second for all around fun.
Just my opinion on all of this.
It stood out to me because that's the first time I heard anyone say anything good about the Cabrinha. Could the one you tried have been assembled wrong or something?

Thats certainly possible, as it's a demo model. Looked in better condition than mine . . . maybe the ground-down wing tips on mine is making it faster :D

And it whistled constantly at speed, not occasionally. Maybe something is off . . . I'll have a closer look at it if I can.

Hey Kami,
How does the mast on the cabrinha compare to the LF? Is it thinner? Same? If I make another home made set up, I'm considering using the cabrinha mast.
Thanks

Didn't look that closely :o impression was more chord, same thickness maybe but the one in the shop had a fuse welded to the mast. Two holes for both fins . . . and the screws through the board threaded into the plate.

It's a pisser eh: LF plate: $65 mast: $475 :o
