Wow! This is one helluva Soap Opera!

Sorry you see it that way but his official policy is that it is a "privilege" to own a Carafino a privilege I have been denied. This is a standard scientific way of proving claims made about products and I don it all the time in my branch of engineering. Because the foil will be destroyed in testing if it is as good as he says I want to be able to rebuild it in a way I know is done properly. In such an event as I said I will publish the findings of the worlds leading research centre for this sort of thing and apologise to him for wanting to own such a "privileged" product. I'm pretty sure it will reveal that his product is a triumph of hype over substance. He claims to have the intellectual property to foiling kite boarding but where is his patent? I am only doing this because he is in breach of contract and making entirely false claims.

I could , Easily mold the work from someone's product ; probably as well
or better than most on this forum.

So why wouldn't i do that ? It's called Integrity !!

Yea, i got a Lot of faults ; but being a common Freaking Thief, is
Not one of them .

So Why couldn't you go make your Own board (?) ; because Ya got the
creativity of a slug , and you Can't. People like You, make Sick !!!! :angryfire:

You seem to know a lot about my abilities with carbon composites. The boat sitting on my drive from my "small little world of trailer sailors" that have been breaking records for the last 200 years that Carafino so eloquently told me to crawl back under the rock of is currently the 3rd fastest in Europe and weighs in at about 86 kg which isn't bad for a boat that is 40' long, 12m from top of mast to bottom of foil, 17' wide carrying the sail area of 180 kites which I pretty much built in my shed. It would go faster on foils though.

Also working on my own version of this which with some new ideas I think could blow everything out of the water.

Not too bad for someone you accuse of having no ability or creativity.

The product has been bought and paid for with good money so how is this theft. The mould would be to replace something I own after it has been tested to destruction to see if the claims hold water so (in the unlikely event that is true) I can get back to where I started.

Its not as if the product is available on the open market or the manufacturer has any interest in promoting the sport positively or inclusively.

Remember others (nothing to do with me whatsoever) have been so p**sed off with him they have produced entire websites warning others.

http://web.archive.org/web/201203051341 ... xcara.html

Despite their claims they don't own the sport and they didn't invent the hydrofoil. I believe Casey Baldwin has that honour.

All the video above proves is he knows how to hold a pot of bog and a spray gun. Lets see the autoclave, laminate spec, bonding schedule and someone who knows what they are doing putting it together.

[quote="C A R A F I N O 2014 Thereafter, we were able to access the factory, however, all workers left the facility for new jobs. Therefore, we began searching and then training people in the carbon composite process of our hydrofoils.

Doesn't really fill you with confidence.
I'm happy to have this work independently verified by the worlds leading authority and share the results in a calm methodical and subjective manner. I'm also happy to give full credit to Carafino in the event that what they say stacks up but my experience to date is that every single thing they have ever told me has been a lie.

Its called intelligent problem solving.

thought the delay to deliver the parts is the problem

what is the problem you are trying to solve?

are you also testing all other commercial available foils in the market?

u look as having an agenda against Carafino

all good if you got a good reason, but some overstated marketing claims does not sound as a good one to me, not in this sport anyway

@ windrider
sorry i haven't read all of your posts.
but the last sentance to the post above caught my eye.

can you tell us where you work and what your job description may be?
i wonder why you even mention the chief designer of your company, as i dont belive he has been mentioned before.

i guess if you legally own a carifino board you can do as you wish with it.
however, i've never heard of 'destructive' hydrodynamic testing and would be interested in any clarification you could add.
regarding the structural tests; what properties do you intend to measure that would lead to conclusions regarding performance or durability?
specifically, what information would dispell any knowledge gained by simply riding your new foil?

regards,
-bill
