I was about to write the same as you...

But then again - I have nothing pro/con Carafino (and no orders), so easy for me to say, and maybe it is okay that it is discussed, as a very serious topic for many.

Thats why I kept it to myself, eventhough I would like to see some "normal" forum posts again also, would be nice

I am currently working on my jibe, as this is a tricky one, but also the most pleasing of all moves IMO :thumb:

Hows people builds getting along? etc i need encouragement as mine is taking for ever. just finished the rear wing and moulding my front as i speak.

Cheers

Hello Edge,
post some pics so we can see what you have done already!!

Peter Frank,
not trying to be insensitive will all the hurting, im in favor of a serious discussion but...
lets not forget most that are getting into the sport are curious to know how to do stuff and how to ride it!

Please do share your dificulties and your achievements!
it is quite hard to do this sport without support!
sometime a small tip is just enough to keep on going!
for me im out of resin !
i got carbón and Wood but no sticky stuff! :angryfire:

Carbon will make it stiffer for sure, did you put any anhedral on the wing? It will improve it.

No anhedral yet! i still have to make a mould.
i was thinking of putting a 2 layer of 6oz.of carbon on bottom and 1 of 6 oz. on top
but i dont know if its worth it.
the top laminate failed .should i try to save the wing or start over?
do i have to sand the part where is cracked?

Does anyone know of some good instructional videos on tacks and jibes? I thought Gunnar was working on some but I haven't seen them yet. I would really like to see what they are doing with the kite and with the board at the same time.

I have watched the Heineken, Maxime, and Nationals videos over and over but i can't keep my attention on the kite and the board at the same time. I feel like foiling tacks and jibes are the standard of excellence.

Hi windfreak,
Yes I'll post some in a bit. I've gone down the make a pattern, mould then infuse route.

I made two front wings one at 60cm and one at 75cm a fusalage and rear wing. The mast will be last. Two wing sizes smallest first but then thought for light wind and my weight near 100kg with wet suit.
But I think the 60 cm will be good enough.

I'll stick some pics up later
Cheers
