but Peter you are forgetting add the euro cost factor of US price X 1.4 = Euro price with VAT, duties etc, of course it seems cheap to you.
In europe guys buy $20 beers, but the guy pouring it is paid $20 an hour, only after tax he is still poor. Maybe not as bad in DK, but some places...
$2400 is 2-3 new kites or 4 new boards in the US.
Foils, still expensive at $2000-3000.

You are right about that - difficult to compare...

If 2400 equals 4 boards or 2-3 kites, it is about the same price as here then and pretty standard price, not more expensive than it is now (which is a lot and extreme maybe, but worth it)

So comparing to boards and kites, it is about the same yes :thumb:

Some are comparing the price of a foil to a board, which does not make sense IMO, as a foil is a completely different thing, and worth a lot more now :naughty:

Take a good windsurf fin (just ONE single fin).
It cost the same as a (kite)board, or at least 2/3.

Also, as said before, you dont need a really big light wind kite as you do with raceboards or TTs, which suddenly saves a lot of money as they are extremely expensive.

Looking at the full picture, I am not in doubt, it is fully worth every cent
