I find it quite easy to loop the kite in really light wind ozchrisb ?
Of course you ride in zig-zag as you yaw turn the board when the max pull comes, to go deep and increase VMG, and a bit back when the kite slows down.
But find it way easier to forward loop it downwind - and more difficult to keep the speed when you backloop, as you hit a "soft" point where it is difficult to keep power
So I would just forward loop only, in racing, and spin the bar.
But for freeride I find it more challenging and "right" - to loop it back and not spin the bar ha haa (I know it sounds stupid but thats me...)
