C G,
Thanks for the info, please keep it coming!
Can we assume that the f 1 KBHF does not keep up with the others?

We had a technical presentation from F One and they emphasized their products were user friendly and not strictly for racing. Their hydrofoil looks nice but i guess they haven't had the development time to win races yet. So far it looks like SpotZ and Taaroa are still the foils chosen by the top riders.

The new F One kite looks very nice and seems to be competitive. So does the new Flysurfer one. Great to see four foil kites now suitable for racing.

Via Google translate:
"Many of you have to follow last night live the 1 st day of the KiteFoil Gold Cup in La Ventana , Mexico. In a rather weak wind, three races have been validated. The choice of the size of the wing was crucial and some riders missed sleeves becaufe on or under canvas!
With a win and two second place, the French Julien Kerneur (Airush / Spotz) leads after the first day. He beat the French Nico Parlier (Ozone / Spotz) and Maxime Nocher (F-One). John Heineken (USA / Ozone) is 4 th before the young French Axel Mazella (North / sword2) and the American Joey Pasquali (ASV / Spotz). It is very likely that the podium will be played between these 5 riders.
Roman Castel (F-One) missed its 1 st round but came back strongly in the other two. Currently 12 th , it should integrate the top 10. A great performance after nearly a year without competition!
Sébastien Dol (Radical) 14 th and Jean Guillaume Rivaud (Cabrinha / sword2) 20 th and 1 st in inflatable wing should remain in the Gold series (the top 22) at the end of the day. Indeed tomorrow the riders will be separated into two groups: the Gold series with the first 22 and the Silver Series with 22 others.
The other French: Benjamin Petit (Ozone / Radical) 30 th , Hervé Rousseau (North / Sword) 34 th , Ludovic Donati (Sword 2) 35 th , Martin Turbil (North / Sword 2) 38 th and Alexia Fancelli (Airush / Sword 2) 41 th"

Sounds like a few people got caught out in race three. There are some people who would have been pretty solid in Gold fleet looking at Silver fleet now :( Six races doesn't give you any room for mistakes.

Wow seriously close racing at the top of the Gold fleet: http://sailwave.com/results/15kitefoilg ... finals.htm

Nico, Johnny, and Julien tied for 1st with 14 points and Maxime 1 point behind.

I REALLY wish they had a livestream.

This is a tight race, with 3 Riders sharing the First Spot, too bad there is no video like in Australia last year.
