Looks like corrosion doesn't seem to be such a big issue, have a look at the pictures with the alloy foil and carbon wings:

Zeeko have a pretty thick paint job on their Aluminum which would do a good job of galvanic isolation until there is some wear. Can you put them together? of course. Can you get a products life span from them, likely. Is it important to be aware of the issue and disassemble the foil periodically to check for corrosion and re apply TEF gel when needed? Yes. Bare aluminum and carbon should not be in contact any more than SS hardware in aluminum parts without TEF gel. Salt water environment will make it worse. The issue is one that is not that hard to mitigate, but it's still an issue.

Hi Nicolas!

I know you are super busy, but it would be great if you find a minute for answering my four questions below? Thanks! :D

1) Will there be G10/Fiberglass speed and jump wings available for the 2016 alloy foil or do I need to use the carbon speed&jump wing and is jumping with the freeride wing really very different than with the speed&jump wings?
2) The black plastic plate between the board and the foilplate on top of the mast - when is it recommended to use and when the steel washers?
3) Would you recommend to seal the mast to avoid water entering (gets heavier during riding) and with what ?
4) As you mount the carbon foil with steel screws and don't recommend Tefgel there, like with the alloy foil - is there no corrosion between Carbon and steel as Ulrike links earlier in this thread state and would the Carbon Wing on the alloy foil be a problem? Would Titan screws help and be able to take the load?

Carbon and quality stainless steel are ok.
But Carbon and aluminium is bad.
And I would say that connecting carbon to aluminium using stainless screws would just help the corrosion along.
The water in mast seems to be negligible and only a nuisance if it leaks back out in your car.

Is this a new wing or a version of the speed&jump wing for the alloyfoil?

Thanks for spotting the new Carving front wing Macisback.
Looks lower aspect than the blue one. I think this would potentially be lots of fun on a board like Shinn El Stubbo. Probably be easier to get going initially too. Be interested to read what Zeeko have to say about it.

Per Nico:
The carver wing is a brand new G10 wing dedicated for turns and jibe. It has no anhedral (as the white and black wings) and the size is bigger. Approximate surface area for the white or blue front wing is 540cm². The carver wing is 700cm², which allows it take off at lower speeds, and due to the specific profile makes turns easier. It comes available for all 2015-2016 Zeeko alloy hydrofoils, 2016 carbon models, and specially made for 2015 carbon foil (as the inserts are not at the same). Technical sheet will be up on the site soon.

Dear All,

sorry not to reply sooner I was in a french speed crossing contest the last days,

To summarize we edited a new sheet explaining the difference between all the 2016 wings.
Please find all details below

about your questions:

1) Will there be G10/Fiberglass speed and jump wings available for the 2016 alloy foil or do I need to use the carbon speed&jump wing and is jumping with the freeride wing really very different than with the speed&jump wings?
Nicolas: Not yet but we are working on it. The main thing is jumping with a wide span wing (as freeride or race one) is difficult to land correctly due to the span, a speed wing is way easier.

2) The black plastic plate between the board and the foilplate on top of the mast - when is it recommended to use and when the steel washers?
Nicolas: for alloy foil you need plastic washer + stainless steel washers and place the plastic washer between the plate of the foil and the stainless steel washer to protect the paint and the anodization

3) Would you recommend to seal the mast to avoid water entering (gets heavier during riding) and with what ?
Nicolas: we are making test, but I prefer to have the water going in and out instead of sealing it, because if the seal is damage a little, water will stay all the time in the mast and can corrode the alloy (even if with our alloy, we made tests after 18month of use and the internal part of the mast was in perfect state)

Nicolas: If we can classify by experience, the worst is Carbon + Alloy (this is why we don't recommend it), in second it is Alloy/Stainless steel (but this is prevent using T-gel). Titan screw is same troubles on alloy, and finally 5 times at least more expensive for no better result.
Starsky explained it very well.

Finally about the Pocket board, we are not working on foldable boards.

Regards,
nicolas
