I suspect one of the things that took some tinkering for zeeko to figure out on the spitfire was the size ratio of front and rear wings. If yours is extra rear biased and twitchy you might try a front wing a little bigger to stay close to the ratio of the spitfire wings, which seems to work well. Fuselage length may also be something to tune, maybe longer could be tried, if you stick with your small front wing?
Twitchy.....that's indeed how I'd describe it. I found I'd get up on foil, then quickly drop, over and over ... kinda like going back to the bucking bronco of the beginner days. BUT, weird thing is, toeside was smooth as, no problem. I actually think maybe on heelside I was trying to over compensate for being overpowered by trying to go too slow, whereas the toeside was more properly powered (with the 20% or so loss of efficiency from toeside bringing it into comfortable range). I found when I gunned it a little more heelside, it flew better. All in all, I'm not going to do anything until I get a proper testing day! I had intended to save the first use for one of those perfect easy days, but just couldn't resist!
Good advice though about getting the scaling even. If I can't get it working properly after a few sessions or it doesn't feel stable enough, I may do that, as I have one more piece of g10 left over. Alternatively, I could just use my stringy small wing "upside down", as it looks about right size too. Fun to play around.
