That is a first. Incredible!

The efficiency of foils is nuts. So much potential in so many different conditions. Been getting worked lately in steady 12-15 knots onshore beach break that looks pretty much like whats in the video. So awesome when you get it. The foil makes these conditions as amazing as 20+ knots on a surfboard, maybe even more in that the rides are so much longer, and your trip back out to the top is faster and more fun on foil.

Crazy !!!

Now it is not just the buggyboarders who can (occasionally) do it :thumb:

Havent seen Marc for a long time - he was one of the reasons I started hydrofoiling, seeing his video

What an amazing "return" :D

Great, I was predicting on kiteforum that 360/Deadman's turn should be possible with foilboard on water and now we have been shown that it is. It still needs some more practice or/and better gear that true foiling is done (on the video the board touches down). But great achievement still.

Peter, why do you omit snowkiters where 360 / deadman's turn and "super-wind-window turns" have been made for ages similar to kitebuggy.. Sorry for being a bit touchy on this.

Respect, especially for the, I would guess, not so easy conditions for a 360.

I tried it many years ago on a snowboard but didn't get it. I think if the lines are to long it is impossible. Would estimate Marc has something around 17 m in the video?

New goal, going to shorten some lines today. :D

I love this figure and I was dreaming to see it one day on a Hydrofoil :D
Armin from FS did one on snowski, very impressive as well (and certainly more difficult on a snowboard), and its easy to catch the kite movewment from the pedagogic video:

I like this video because buggy rider takes 10+-1 consecutive loops with good speed that maybe with more accurate flying and riding you should be able to achieve true hydrofoil 360 without touching down. On Armin's video he looses his forward speed at the end of loop but hard to judge friction between riding skis and hydrofoil.

Insanely awesome!

I do these in the buggy and its supercool to watch the kite drive directly upwind.

Sorry, not intended to omit anyone, just wanted to say that the full 360 with kite upwind, that "land and ice and snow" boarders/skiers/vehicles can do, has been done on the water too for the first time now, very impressive as it seems to be an even greater challenge :thumb:

Wtf! How is that even possible? I tried some downwind 360 some days ago and it felt quite good even if not half as dynamic as a powered fast upwind 360. But the thing in the buggy video looks insanely cool! I can´t really get it in my head but I will have to try to and then try to do it on the water. That would be so cool! Can´t wait to see what will be possible and done with a hydrofoil in some years.
