Will these XLW wings open the Spitfire up to Windfoil use?

for information we are working on XLW wings to suit the spitfire design.
It would be nice if there was special package of XLW wings with a fuselage included. I assume if fuse stays the same, there will be both larger front and back wings needed. To change wing size would be easier with change of the whole flying portion, just 2 bolts between fuse and strut.

The plate of a kitefoil is not strong enough for a windfoiling use.
I tried one time the spitfire with the xlw wings and it does not work on a windsurf board. I'm still investigate on it.

In the future you could order pieces separately. But as you noted, the XLW wings will be a set of 1 front wing + 1 back wing.

No one mentioned wind foiling.

Why not sell spitfire fuse and wing packages? Maybe a small discount if you bundle with a mast.

Everything is components. Makes sense to package them conveniently.

It does seem the changes between spitfire and normal black/blue/green and white hydrofoils could be isolated to the fuse and wings. Could the angle built into the spitfire plate not be instead achieved by shaping the fuse with an angled mast attachment area?

I just picked up a blue/white and the reason I chose it over some other brands is the modularity and exchangeable wings. The more modular, and flexible for upgrades, the better!

A few other simple questions for Mr Zeeko:

When do you think the XLW wings will become available for the Spitfire?

And what differences could I expect when using the Zeeko Spitfire Fuselage/Wings on the Blue/White mast?

Hi,

About the availability of the XLW wings, we are waiting the details from our supplier.

About the difference between the White and green foil and the spitfire.
In fact only one piece is common to both: the mast.

The plate is different to make the Mast Angle different for spitfire and white and green hydrofoil.
We tried to keep them the same change about angle on the fuselage, but it does not work the same. We did not validate this design.

Our main target was to use the same location of the foil on the board. It makes you need to change a lot of things on the foils.
This is why it is not compatible to use a white and green mast on a spitfire fuselage.

Hope it is clear enough.

Regards
Nicolas

That makes perfect sense why you have the angle.

I connected the spitfire fuselage to the short mast and it works perfectly fine.

Thanks for info on the wings. Will buy a pair when they become available.

Hi NIcolas,

Can you please give us an idea of the difference in wing size and performance (start/stall speed, agility, carving, etc) with the XLW wings?

Cheers
