Ierofoil - feedback

Postby nothing2seehere » Fri Jun 02, 2017 9:41 am

Has anyone got any feedback on the Ierofoil since it was launched?

There were a few comments on here pointing out a few of the limitations but little in the way of test reviews. I was considering one as a travel toy -
instead of packing my regular foil - to save on the amount of stuff I need to pack rather than as the only foil I own.

Is the adaption time short between foil/ierofoil?
Does it float?
Is it redonkulously heavy?

Previous reviews have pointed out it's slow but I'm happy with that as a session saving travel toy. I guess I'm looking at it in lieu of a light wind board (big door or floaty surf board) so its that 'doing something when its 11 knots' range - not trying to get out on a gnats fart in 8 knots.

I might have just found my own answer. It seems that the Ierofoil original version is now obselete. They now have a new product which is $$ more expensive so it might have just pushed beyond my 'Yeah, I can afford to take a risk on that' limit.
