Foil Destination for November ?

Postby Indy1 » Fri Jul 07, 2017 10:06 am

Hey
had the luck to spend a couple of November vacations in Brazil and the last ten years also in Cape Town. I love Cape Town for waveriding and the whole lifestyle.
But however with my new addiction of hydrofoiling I think about a new destination with warm water, stable windconditions and a nice environment.
I would be very thankful if I could get some informations about your dreamspots for november.

I've had great conditions in Mauritius and the Caribbean in November. Foiling in langebaan is good behind the island...

My choice: Turks and Caicos :-)
Super good foiling on the lagoon side or the Caicos bank side depending on wind direction.
Just need a short mast to foil on the bank at low tide...

But I'm biased because of the place I own there 8)

Virginia Beach is really nice if you like foiling in a 3/2 wetsuit

Ilha do Guajiru, Cera, Brasil
Its a large lagoon (arox. 500m x 3000m) which is tide dependent.
You can sail out to open waters at the down wind side of the lagoon, ocean not very choppy.
Wind can be strong, so you need a smaal kite.

Holbox, Mexico can be very nice foiling conditions November time. There may however be the occasional 20+ day where twintip would be good.

Unless shallow, covered in seaweed or massive waves isn't any place a hyrdrofoil location?
