generally the kite versions have the longest masts (except short masts for learning or surf), while the windsurf ones have the strongest masts and mast/board connections, because of the extra heeling angle of kiters going upwind, versus the heavier torque of windsurfing mast and hiked out rider position.
A windsurf or sup needs big wings to operate at reasonable speed, a kite wing on a windsurf would only work in strong wind.
Some big wings like Takuma and Go foil cross over well, not sure this is universal.
Takuma is the only one marketed to be used for all sports as far as I know.
