Cheers Guys , how many people are using Race type boards but just for free riding ?
I dont know...
But I do know that almost everybody here with some experience and not racing or buying used cheap, avoid these boards, as they are quite flat and narrow and thick, nothing that helps in terms of freeride and ease of things.
Shorter and thinner and more rocker/scoop and a bit or a lot wider with less rocker (for marginal winds) seems to work great for freestyle and waves.
On the other hand, as racers sell these boards often and quite fast (low priced) when a new one comes along, they are quite okay for light wind conditions - not perfect but not bad either so an understandable choice
Can not say that I got a favourite board myself, as I change board (between 4) depending on wind and conditions, and i really like the 3 smallest of them a lot (118/130/148 cm), no favourite
