I dont know...

But I do know that almost everybody here with some experience and not racing or buying used cheap, avoid these boards, as they are quite flat and narrow and thick, nothing that helps in terms of freeride and ease of things.

Shorter and thinner and more rocker/scoop and a bit or a lot wider with less rocker (for marginal winds) seems to work great for freestyle and waves.

On the other hand, as racers sell these boards often and quite fast (low priced) when a new one comes along, they are quite okay for light wind conditions - not perfect but not bad either so an understandable choice

Can not say that I got a favourite board myself, as I change board (between 4) depending on wind and conditions, and i really like the 3 smallest of them a lot (118/130/148 cm), no favourite :naughty:

For racing:

I like the delta boards. They are light and strong. 7-8 lbs depending on where the box is and if you get a deck pad.

I've had 3 and the only damage I ever had was when I landed on the bottom full force with my harness hook! Even the, just a small crack.

They're also a bit cheaper than the other race boards (not that any of them are cheap).

Had all 3 types of decks. Don't like domed deck for foiling

Can I ask why . . . I have never used a domed deck but was looking at the EXO Levitaz which is domed.

Cheers guys

When it comes to deck shape what do people prefer, Concave , flat or domed ?
I really don't like a domed deck for foiling. Flat, thin and around 110 cm.

Can I ask why Starsky?

I think the domed deck is so nice on a surfboard because it accentuates the feeling of digging in the rail while carving. Foiling is just so different. When you remove the board from the balance point by a meter, it every mm movement is translated all the way down to the foil, and you don't feel the same sensation of digging in the rail. It feels a lot more precise to have a flat board underfoot.

The Shinn Jackson seems like a really good all-around board. Any thoughts or experience with the Shinn?

Do you ride strapless? If not, Exo is great. Even strapless will work of course, but small concave feels the best to me personally. However I prefer straps at this time. I rode all three types of deck over time in this order: domed, flat, concave, flat, domed (Exo).
If you like the board I'd go for it.
