Cheers Guys.

What about high volume boards for really light winds , what are people using ?

I use an old raceboard 175 x 48 with a really flat rockerline, very light, and can ride sometimes from 5 knots with an 11 m2 racefoilkite https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pHzww4l-dNw&t=36s

I rode domed deck surfboards for 3 -4 years, then built my own with pretty deep deck concave, liked them more immediately. Then I converted my surfboard to foil and it worked good.
But I can imagine a flat one might be better. I suppose it's what you are used to.
Then I built a board with small rail chines and only had 1 1/2 sessions on it before I broke it, and even those small chines helped a lot on touch downs.

So don't have time to make a new one, so I ordered a Slingshot Dwarfcraft 4-6, has concave deck, rail chines and almost same dimensions as my homemade, but thicker. Hope I like it.

Dwarfcraft 4-6 (54") is great board. to me it felt like a smaller board that it is, yet it was as stable as my bigger one. I think you'll like it

Plus 1 for the Dwarfcraft 54". I've found it great to learn on strapless due to the full deck grip. The slight concave in the deck feels secure and great for control. It feels compact when up and riding but it has the volume needed for easy learning. I feel as though this board will keep me happy as my skills improve.

Thanks for all the great replies guys 👍

Just out of queriosity has anyone used the Nobile infinity split foil board.
I was wandering if it's any good as a board to travel with if the destination has light winds but am concerned that it may flex too much !

Also has anyone any experience or views about
Temavento .
They do a carbon board with tracks called the Sync that weighs 2.1 KG that seems to have a great shape !

No experience with it, but outline looks good on pictures. My concern is narrow flat area (keel ?) running the length of the board. I'd prefer bottom shape of Dwarfcraft with wider flat under mid/front of the board. It gives the board more stability on touch down. My narrow "keel" race board rolls too easy for freerider like me.

Thanks for all the replies guys.

I had a go on a new Carbon Moses T60 today and I can now appreciate the advantages that cut away sides give.
Definitely less " Graby " on touch downs and miss judged foiling gybes ( it was very choppy ) it also had more buoyancy than my T40 .

Cheers 👍
