So I just unboxed my new Ride 145x48 board and 820mm wide SUP foil for kiting...no pics yet cos it's dark now. The weights are 3.3kg for the board and 4.9 for the foil all assembled, versus 3.8 and 4kg. 7.9 for the old kite foil setup, 8.2 for the monster wing. Not bad!
IIRC the mad professor said the new mast designs were 200% stiffer for a few grams more weight, or something to that effect. Comes with a 900mm mast but I enjoyed the 750 in NZ so I'm going to get one of them. Save a couple hundred grams too
Now watch, as the monsoon season delivers zero wind and endless rain for the next 6 weeks

Oh yes it's excellent!
Got a ride yesterday, started out with slightly too much kite (10m) then rapidly became outside my comfort zone. I got straight onto the TT for some woosting so way too much for how I like to foil
But the foil was gravy. Silky smooth through the water, consistent trim through the speed range, great for catching the swell.
Gonna be a fun summer
