Thanks, how about a photo of the bottom of the front wing?

Here are some photos I took. I hope to take it out on the water in a couple of weeks. The thruster front wing is considerably thicker than the happy foil front wing - bigger lift coefficient?
A thicker wing, thus more camber and a rounder nose, will give you higher lift yes.
Maybe more important for many, it will give a very soft stall so easy to recover when going too slow.
Of course on expense of higher drag, especially at higher speeds (low AOA).
The bottom side does not really matter that much, smaller influence.

interesting to note, there hasnt been any mention in this thread about the designer of these wings. Matt wheeler (wheeler wings) is very well known in the gorge area apparently. these wings are designed to catch waves and carve hard without cavitating. seen some very impressive maneuvers on these designs and people rave about them. he designed these wings to catch the big swell in hood river, pretty sure liquid force is gonna sell alot of these.

I rode them a couple days ago. They were super stable fast and carved well. I wish I was on a smaller kite though because I could barley hold down my 5m. The wind was quite gusty so I didn’t stay out long. From my quick session, I liked them right from the start. Usually changing anything Foil related takes a few hours or sessions to sort out but not with these. I got on them and was carving it up straight away.

There is a lot going on with that wing. The foil shape appears to be reflexed with a concave upper surface near the trailing edge. The tips appear to have quite a bit of washout, or downward twist. Perhaps the reflex is intended to reduce pitching moment for a more stable foil and the washout is intended to reduce low pressure near the tip for reduced ventilation near the surface? The surf wing in this video has similar characteristics:

first day out on the thruster wings, and I'm a fan!
They generate more lift than the happy foil and at lower speeds. the adjectives I would use are "smooth" and "stable". reactions aren't as twitchy as riding the happy foil. there's more time to make adjustments and keep it together as opposed to imploding. I haven't found their upper limit on speed, but it's more than I'm comfortable going.

Interesting that in 2018 LF has the Impulse wings/foil (in collaboration with Cloud IX) and the Thruster wings (designed by Matt Wheeler). I currently ride original Liquid Force FF wings/foil in the waves. I am into riding real ocean waves and wondering which is the way to go. I was leaning towards Impulse .... but have started having second thoughts, Your thoughts?

Can also go directly to Matt Wheeler(Facebook group 'wheeler wings') and get one of his other larger wings to play in waves. I have a hammerhead 24" and it rides great, very smooth and low stall speed.

I am in the same boat but also wondering how well the thruster would work as a wake foil as well. Has anyone ever tried the thruster as a wake foil?
