What type of conditions are you looking for?

I feel like the location is much less important for foiling. You can get out in light winds, so every spot is flat water. I used to love living close to OBX and would drive down there all the time, but now I never bother because my local spot is good enough and obx is shallow with seaweed.

I go to most of the foil races on the east coast. St Pete, FL in the fall is my favorite location. There are places to ride for any wind direction and I've always gotten good wind every time I've been there. Not sure if it meets the picturesque requirement though. The Tampa bay side (skyway) water is pretty cloudy.

I foil arouund Boston and Cape Cod and both are phenomenal for foiling. Looking to go on vaca in Sept, but wondering if OBX will be full of seaweed. Looking for flat water, wide waves and places to boost big. A bit worried about riding outside at OBX because of sharks. Anything great in b/n OBX and Boston?

Gary go out to the Vineyard for a week...some of the best flat water spots anywhere, and the scenery is top notch..

Given all our Great White activity over the past week the sharks in Obx are puny compared to the Cape. I still think a foil looks too much like the lures I troll offshore with. It's a teaser that looks like a big flying fish. Nantucket is great in the fall. Smith point is deserted and you can get flat water on the Madaket side and waves on the Ocean side. You can literally walk from one to the other with the kite in the air.

The East coast of America.... of course there is also a part of America which is a continent , then there is the ROW

Back to the topic: I was riding a bicycle along the Palisades in NJ and was wondering if the Hudson is kitesurfable?
It has fantastic scenic coasts. Its not exactly the East coast but its definitely "picturesque" especially on the river bending near West Point.

Southeast Florida if you get a little wind, Juno, pompano, keys, etc.

Clear warm water, nowhere else compares on the east coast (if you don't factor in reliable wind) but you don't need much to foil

Eric (flyingcamel) kites on Hudson..
If you ever decide to visit NYC, join
Northeast #KiteLifeCrew FB group and talk to Eric and Darius. They'll hook you up riding Hudson or near statue of Liberty (will need high tide for the later)
You can also ride Seagate (Verrazano Bridge), Coney Island or Rockaways (for waves).. depending on wind direction...
September is usually good for kiting in NYC

Haha LOL.
I just opened this topic to post exactly that response.
So typically a USA self centered response on this international Kiteforum. Some of them also have trouble posting in SI units or internationally used knots (in stead of usa land miles) you might have noticed...
