concave deck - how much is to much?

How much concave do some hydrofoil boards have on the deck? Like Ketos pocket boards (they call it spatula)?
I am building a board right now and I have to decide how much concave to put in the deck...

Likely pretty personal.

Concave definitely helps with the feel of board response, but a concave surface underfoot is eventually a stressor on foot mechanics. Too much and you will get internal rotation of the tibia and eventually stress at foot, ankle, and knee.

You talking about concave and not rocker ?

Concave , I've never had a board with concave , mine have 5-10mm convex ... But I would like to try it just for feel

this board with a width of 36.5 cm has a concave of 18mm under the front foot, under the rear the deck is flat.
The first board i made for that guy had 12mm concave with 37.5 cm with.

The deck on my Nobile Skim Foil is concave under the front foot (1/4" / 6mm) and flat under the rear foot. I really like the feel of this deck for foiling.

I have a domed board and I'm not a fan of it at all. I watched Gunner's video where it seems he likes a flat board, or a concave board for strapless. I can't comment on why he likes concave for strapless, but maybe he can chime in. I like the board I'm on for simply riding, but any freestyle stuff I'm struggling. I can nail all types of front rolls with my TT, but I'm coming out of my straps almost every time on the domed foil board and I never have this problem on my TT. There's one last thing I'm gonna try on the foil to keep the feet in the straps, but beyond that I'm gonna try a friends board that is concave and see if that helps b/c he nails them easily.

Yes definitely personal, I prefer completely flat deck or flat on the front foot with little concave (5mm) on the back foot. Had a board with a lot of concave on the front (10mm) and it felt uncomfortable.

Personally prefer flat decks.
Also a lot easier to switch from board to board if both/all are flat.

Ketos Pocket boards do not have concave decks, they are flat.

The term spatula must be something either lost in the English translation I think, as in French they refer to the width at the widest point, or if anything it means "flat like a spatula" and not "concave" in both languages

I have both the Pocket 118 and 130, and both are flat, which is great IMO, dont like concave either.
