board rolled nose down with my back foot stuck in the footstrap....resulted in torn MCL. I've never foiled with a back foot strap since. If you ever get the feeling you are overpowered always bail out with the board falling away or behind you. Best to land with legs out front and board behind.

Wow some really nasty accidents in this thread.
Another reason to always wear full wet suit and booties plus helmet of course.
I'm keen to know more on how to crash properly...
