Happy foil board inserts loose.

I contacted Liquid Force about this since I use foothooks on the Rocket Fish board. They said there should not be any problem using foothooks on their boards so it might be a factory defect that has been made worse by using Foot Hooks.

On my first LF board, the mast rails became loose inside the board.
Liquid Force replaced the board.

Looks like you got one of the boards that were a bad batch from the factory. My buddy had one that didn't even have the mast tracks epoxied in once they were set. Happy Foil replaced it.

Buy cheap, get cheap, more so from a company who at the time, now, had little idea of what KBHFing is!
Just wanting to cash in on the ever growing market with a cheap POS product!

Two of us have the same LF Happy foil boards at our local spot. Neither of us use hooks so no insert issues, however his mast plate tracks are starting to delaminate (6 month old board) without any hard hits. Dealer he bought it from said they would replace it, so at least it seems LF and their dealers are making good on potential defects.

Personally I think these plastic mast tracks, which were never designed to support hydrofoils, are the weak link in the system, even if well secured. My t-nuts have a small grip area, and are slowly digging into the track despite every effort not to over tighten (mentioned in another thread). Gonna either make or hunt down some larger surface area nuts, and hope for the best. In a few years I'll bet these current tracks are replaced/modified with something designed for foils.

Update: my friend got his replacement board and it's working great.Thumbs up to LF for supporting their product. They really are nice lightweight freeride boards, despite the manufacturing glitches
