The new race wings 637/420 can go well slow and in low winds too.

Cheers,

How would you test high end ???

I know many dont believe me, but IMO it is the rider that sets the high end, and far more important than most think, as soon as the gear is "adequate" :D

I know a guy here who rides 88 / 82 kmh (max speed / 10 seconds), and others on similiar gear also extremely experienced, can only get up to 60 / 57 kmh, okay one could get to 65.

So what is the high end here - is it 88 or 60 ???

Difference is almost 50 %

Gear is one important thing, but the rider extremely important regarding the speeds that can be reached :thumb:

I get enough thrill out of 60km/h, so that is about my personal top end.
In case you are referring to wind speed, not likely I guess..., then gusting up to around 50 knots is another personal limit.

cheers

You are right Frank, not talking about wind speed, but rider GPS speed corrected for spikes :naughty:

My point is, that making conclusions on individuals, regarding a foils high end (max speed) is not really possible - at least VERY difficult and require the very best riders, out together on the gear to be compared, and changing, for many sessions/days.

Possible, but in reality not really

A bit off topic though, I know, sorry...

I think only a Formula kite pro rider can make that high end speed test.

I was only really referring to the ease of foiling fast , as I find it easier to go faster on the 558 than on the 550 .
It just has a certain Ease at reaching higher speeds and you are right, pushing the very top end is easier for certain individuals!

I agree with Flag53. It's not highest speed, but what is average top speed for recreational rider.

The 637 is the fastest and best accelerating Moses wing so far, that is for sure.
