i bought the 590 from Moses in the US, and the 548 from Tom W. Can not wait to use them. I am landlocked so wont get to use them till i go somewhere to kite.
I read this entire thread, all 34 pages. Such great info.
Any idea if i will need longer screws for either of these wings to mount to my fuselage, i have the slingy ghost whisperer.
I'm using 25mm countersunk screws for front and middle holes for 590
Moses uses torx screws and I prefer Allen so I just got stainless 6mm at Fastenal
We have a bunk available on an OBX trip 4/14-4/21. Wanna join?

You have a product number? Wouldn't I need to know the thread type etc? Just saying I need a 25 mm countersunk screw will be enough to order?

M6 x 25mm countersunk Allen. Note that 548 will need M6 x 20mm but those are the screws you already have as Frank pointed out earlier
How about OBX trip?

April in OBX is usually 3/2 wetsuit and no booties. Long sleeve shorty at best.
Rodanthe. North of the channel.
Nice foiling place - my 71cm and 91cm masts will get some use!

The 633 wing, also known as the Onga foil set up.
Something that I have discovered about using this set up.
I have found that this set up on a long mast, a Moses 101cm,feels really nervous if you try to overpower it with a kite too large for the conditions, it's happened to me twice now in the same week, using a 12mtr ozone Reo Mk4 in no more than 15mph or 12knts it felt very unhappy, it would not run smoothly to top speed, it felt very nervous and made me very tense and unwilling to carve into a turn, however as soon as I returned to shore and switched to a 10mtr all was good again, total control, slashing around in the waves, looping at every opportunity to carve a fast turn, the difference was amazing, happening twice in the same week must mean something, its telling me to drop a kite size as the lift from the wing is massive so no need to worry about getting up on the fly,
The Onga like less pressure on its surfaces to run smoothly and give the rider a smooth and fast ride with quick fluid carves that make you smile instead of gritting your teeth and shouting "holy Shite"
I am only an improving rider so others may find the overpowering thing something they can cope with, but for me it was not helpful at all, and made me feel like a total novice again,(my 12 mtr would have been perfect if I had any of the standard moses wings on the long mast)
so lesson learned, drop a mtr or two to enjoy the 633 Onga at its best.

Why would you prefer hex bolts over torx?
Hex always gets round over time with me, needing to drill out the bolts and possibly damaging the foil.
Weird that Moses didn't put torx in the fuse-mast connection. Changed them myself so I only need one tool with a stainless steel T30 torx bit for my entire foil and board.

Foil,
Does the 633 need it’s own particular fuselage or can it easily fit to the kite specific fuselage?
Nice list of equipment u have listed there.
Thx,
Salvatore
