I´ve been riding my 633 2nd half of this season on my homebuilt 120cm pocket board. Came from 550 - 590 wings.
I decided to bolt on my homebuilt 135cm board that is basically the same as the 120 , but with the tail chopped off and mast mount is 50mm further back than 135cm. Going to brazil soon and trying to figure out which board to take. want to take all my wings and think the 135 will be easier on 590-550, thats the one i used before with those wings. Worried the 120cm will not allow surface riding needed to get going.

I was blown away on how big a NEGATIVE impact the board has on the foil feeling while flying- it takes away a lot of agility. I tried an LF impulse on the 145 galaxy board and it was so stable i thought i could take a nap on it compared to my Moses 633 on the 120 cm board. It was huge difference. Using the 135cm board took away 50% of that agility difference the LF Impulse.

So now i have to try the 590-550 wings on the short 120 cm board, to see if i can get going - because the 135cm board took away a lot of agility of the 633.
Dont want to bring both boards and be bothered changing the mast - too much hassle..

How’s the durability in the Onda 633? I’d be using this primarily during travel which means packed in a bag and abused by airline bag throwers. Kinda nervous with the carbon build but the weight savings would be great. Thanks.

almost as tough as old boots from my experience and Wayne who has the same kit,
we have found the main front wing is durable, and easy to fix if you do run into a large mussel bed at speed,(me,twice) much easier to fix than any of the standard Moses front wings as the profile is much thicker to work on, however the rear wing is even easier to damage than the smaller standard wings (Wayne proved that) when he snapped a good chunk of the very thin tip running into a rocky sea bed,
and this bit is not as easy to fix, although the wings sailed fine with one tip a good half inch shorter.

Sorry, definitely don't agree on the above durability comments. 633 is well made foil, however, I already have some 1/4" chips and quite a few scratches after just a few months. Many Moses foils scratch and chip easily on wing ends and especially stabilizers. The 633 and 637 are a bit better than the rest of their wings due to solid carbon, but still below average on durability IMHO.

wing durability would certainly be on my wish list of improvements

the 633 feels like it would shatter if I dropped it onto a tile floor, the stab tip which i just chipped the end off doesn't appear to have any "fibre"

might be worth considering a hard-shell for regular airline travel

Sorry but I was only comparing with the Moses wings which I have used in the past, they are quite thin and fragile, the much thicker 633 is tougher than these, and easier to fix.
for ultimate durability I have a gong medium front wing which is made from solid G10, this works great with my Moses 637 race rear wing.
I could chop firewood with that front wing or split house bricks.and as for repairing the thing, you would never need to repair it even if you reversed over it with a bus. :thumb:

Yes everything is relative. I recently repaired a LF Happy foil wing set. I have repaired by Moses 550 several times
The 550 is more fragile than the Happy and 633 which seem to be about the same durability,

Just wrap the wings in your wetsuit or a towel and bury them in the middle of your baggage. It will be fine.

Crazyfly now offering 101/558/330 and 91/550/325 Moses 2018 foils branded as theirs!
Amusingly their site claims otherwise.. I don't disagree w/ your statement, but perhaps their verbiage

The pays says "This includes in house production of kites, kiteboards, control bars and accessories.". Foils not included in the "all".

I'm actually wondering how this business model when some of Moses foil models are rebranded as Slingshot/Crazyfly/whatever will work in the long term. I don't think we have this model in any other top kiteboarding equipment. Moses foils with Slingshot logos are last year Moses models and priced more than this year Moses models so I would never buy Slingshot. But a lot of people don't know it and just buys the brand.

Well, it’s not the first case of BS claims on web or printed materials. I’ve seen worse :)
