Hey guys, I'd really appreciate your opinion and help with choosing my Moses foil+board combo, and where to buy. I weigh 122lb/55kg, and foil in very light wind in Malaysia (we consider 8 knots "ripping windy"). For the past year or so, I've been riding a LiquidForce beginner foil setup that I believe is made of lead and brick, and I'm ready to graduate to a lighter, faster, carvier and much more fun foil. My foiling friends back home in California recommend the Moses T60 fiberglass board and Fluente 91 foil. Is this a good combination for my weight, ability and wind conditions?

Also, is there a difference between the 2017 and 2018 Fluente?

Last question: does anyone know the best place to buy Moses gear that can ship to Malaysia? The closest shop I could find is in Thailand and they charge 30% more than shops in Europe and the US, so that's a no-go. I'd be fine buying the gear from anywhere in the world, just so long as it's a competitive price and shipping costs aren't insane.

Thanks in advance for your help!

You’re light and so are you winds.
I suggest you pick a 590/330 setup or 633/483. Many lighter guys love last year set 550/325 set but first two would feel easier to ride switching from larger Liquid Force setup. But even faster 558/330 setup would work for your weight in normal conditions.
A longer mast is more fun to ride unless you ride shallow spots so either 101cm mast or 91cm.

The names are kind of weird to go by since Moses setup is highly modular and people play around with various combinations a lot.

I’d say 558/550/548/330/325 wings and stabilizers remained pretty close to last year. So did 91/101/111 masts.

I would like Moses to address the slight problem that now exists for people like me and many others who are going down the same route, its the fact that both Moses boards-the T40 and T60 only come with set position bolt holes for the mast, fine for many but I am now using the Moses Onga Pump wing 633, and will use this wing combo for the foreseeable future, and this is a problem on the 2 Moses boards, the large wing with extended fuselage moves the COE around 6-8cm forward(maybe a little more) so to use the Moses Board with equal foot pressure I fine that even with the front foot strap set in the most forward position its impossible to sail the board without placing my rear foot mid way between the front and rear strap, otherwise the board shoots up on to the fly so fast it trys to loop itself, I am now tuned into this and quite enjoy the punchy lift but it makes changing to the standard wings a problem as I need to reposition the front footstraps 2 holes back to get the board to rise or place my back foot right at the back like in a race position, not ideal! and as the footstrap screw holes are only hard plastic then there is a good chance these will strip out with repeated strap movements.
for me the long term answer is to buy another board(on order) with a track system so this issue is resolved for any wing I choose to use, but the added cost could have been avoided if only the Moses board had kept pace with other manufacturers, for example Airush have dumped their tuttle box and gone for the track system this year.
Tomorrow I am helping a buddy of mine set up his Moses T40 with his newly purchased Moses Onga 633, and I know he is wondering how he will adapt to the new foot position as he normally sails with his feet quite wide and was startled when he watched me sailing with my Onga wing with my feet very close together.
Don't let this put anyone off buying theOnga and Moses T boards combo because I love it and to be honest because I am now happy with my feet very close together I have had some success with changing feet whilst on the fly as my back foot is already in the first position you need to adopt before the foot swap.
Of course going strapless would help but that's another area I will work on later this season, for now I will keep practicing my flying gybes with the occasional foot swaps thrown in when it feels right.(not that often at the moment)

Unless depth is an issue go with the Vorace (101) mast. It is the best compromise in my opinion. If I were you I would get the 558 and the 590 wings. Best to have two and with your weight the 590 would be a great light wind wing. The 558 is much more sporty and faster for higher wind days.

I'm going back and forth between the 550 and 550 on the 2016 93cm fluente. If I was going to get one. I'd get the 550.
I'm 76 kg.
Get the Vorace 101 if you already foil.

Anyone had good on-water experience of the new 683 wing vs. 633 and 548?

If you look back at Famous Frank's posts in this thread you will see a note on his comparison between the new 633 and the 683 wings, the result - the 633 was recommended over the 683,
As for the 548 wing- that is not a brand new wing, I bought mine over 7 months ago and have found it very similar to using the 550, it has a slower stall speed and slighter better lift with slightly better breaching recovery than the 550, however it's not anything like the 633 wing set up, totaly different affair as discussed at length throughout this thread.

Can anyone measure the hole separation for Moses front kite wings, such as the 548?

Additionally, does anyone on this thread (e.g. TomW) have a 590 or 548 that they are not using and might want to sell? Feel free to DM me.

Thanks,
James
