Hi all,
Simple question - do Moses foils float? /maybe only in some setup/ And what is weight of average kite setup /medium wings 90cm mast/
Many many thanks!

Tomas

Only extremely few foils will float - I dont know any actually....

If they are really thin (low drag) and strong like carbon foils, they dont float.

Aluminium foils dont.

It does not matter unless you got a very bad connection where it could be lost.

In terms of how fast it "sinks" when waterstarting especially strapless - it does not really matter.

Of course really heavy alu foils/masts sinks back to vertical a lot faster, but it is only a matter of "getting used to", and you will be fine IMO :naughty:

Having said that, I still love lighter carbon foils myself, but simply a luxury thing, nothing but that

But having manipulate in water with big heavy dangerous axle and big not so heavy dangerous axle... Just from my beginner point of view.
Anyway - I have ca. 10h on foil late this summer /can so so fly/ and now Im heading to Fuerteventura for 10 day to start again. So Im boosting my confidence with "gear talk" :)

See you there :thumb:
I am flying today for a 11day practice session on the warm beaches of Fuerterventura, wind is going to be a challenge as many days are forecast windy and from wierd directions, I was hoping to get many days in at the new flat water location but it looks like many days will need good planning to be sure of getting the foil time in, we are staying near flag beach where most of the action takes place, but this time I am not so sure, but it's warm so whT the hell

Looking good Frank, slightly off topic but what length lines do you use on the Hyperlink ?
