Dear all,
I am hydrofoiling witha best kahoona 11.5 it works good but I need something better. I can foil only in the range 10-15 knots and it falls easily down.
NEO/MONO 12 range 11-22
Flysurfer boost 13 range 10-27 (flying start from 8)
I am impressed by the boost windrange. Especially it looks safe if the wind increase suddenly like in my homespot
waht is your opinion of the comparison pro/contra ?

Look for a light weight specific LEI (many manufacturers now have kites aimed at foiling) or a foil kite if you want under 10kts reliability for the kite to stay in the air. If your experience is with LEI kites, I would suggest you stick with those.

In light weight LEIs you don't need big sizes - that just increases weight of material!

Can you demo any of the kites you are interested in, in your area?

I ride the Flysurfer Boost 9 m² from around 10 knots with standard 21m lines. I think you can start a little earlier with the 13 m ?
The low end of the kite is amazing, and it drifts well in lulls.
Perfect for foiling. :thumb:

High end is shit IMHO (on a TT) I have almost stopped boosting on this kite, because the front tube tends to collapse around the outer bridal attachment point when jumping in high winds. ( My Boost is 2015 version).

I have 2016 north Monos 7-9-12. They stay in air very easy, fly great in light wind, but have a lot of power. Some say too much. I'm managing ok with them.

I have also 13m boost. It's a good kite for foiling, quite light and with good windringe - but strutless kites stay in the air much better.
