I was wondering if it's dirt / sand on the joint too. I've not experienced this as a problem really. Overall I think the Moses system is uncomplicated and robust.
Agreed, I like the design of the interfaces.

Hi nikalaitzian,
don't think it is a genaral problem of named modell but maybe a bit of conical conections, which easily can be solved:
IMHO it is often not possible to get those conections completely together just with the screws without to overtight them. Therefore the screws will get lose, when full body weight and torsional forces have pushed the conus comletely together.
When assemling my old Makaira, I have put the board upside down and screwed the conus together while loading my full body weight on the front wing and adding also some torsional movement. Since doing this I had no more problems with loose or overtightened screws.

locktite is a locker....which is fine if you don't remove your fuse much. (there are varying strengths of it) I leave wings mounted and remove the unit when I am transporting to and from launches so I don't want to use something like that.
Loctite is a brand of many products some of them are thread lockers but they make thread sealers as well.

The right sealer might do the trick as long as its OK for marine use.

yes I have two different 91cm masts and after a good session they need nipping back good and tight, just good housekeeping practice in my book, the screws never get that loose that it causes me any concern, but a quarter turn before going out is reassuring.
