Bunch of us around here have gone to Flysurfer speed 5 6m. Wicked little kite, very well behaved in nasty stuff.

North Buzz should be fine for foiling in good winds. Short sheeting range, slow turning and not too fast for a small kite. Just make sure its not worn out. I bought a Buzz from a kite school and it was pretty so worn out so it didn't fly well ( I think the bridles were massively stretched and the cost to replace was more than the value of the kite so I gave it away for a few beers to someone who wanted a project).

Not so good for light winds as its the heaviest construction I have ever seen in a kite

I have a feeling that majority of freeride kitefoilers should have a go with small kites; they're nimble, fun, and more importantly less canopy makes it safer in strong gusts and in wave crashes, too. North Neo 4 was the biggest kite I have used in 34 sessions during the last two months with hydrofoils and surf boards. The two other kites were Mono 3.5 and Neo 3. The single-strut Mono likes to be flown a bit higher/slower to avoid canopy flutter when going fast across the wind window at the high end of the kite's wind range, while the 3-strut Neos don't have this issue. It would be super nice if North would make a Neo 3.5 to fill the gap between 3 & 4. Overall, I'm very happy with these small kites for our conditions.

Just got myself a 3.5m North Buzz, will be interesting to see how I get on with it when my 5m Best Cabo is powered!

5m Ozone Hyperlink it is for me.
(before it was Ozone Enduro 4m and Edge V9 5m, still got both but do not use them anymore since I got the Hyperlink)

Cheers,

@TomW - great choice ! I love my Reo's so much for foiling . I have a 5m and recently got a 7m. So fast, so depowerable , amazing drift and control, and pain free loops. Make sure you use your 5m on a shorter bar though ( not more than 45cm width) as it is crazy fast. Enjoy !
