I havent found a graceful way to stop foiling when going ashore, but would just wake this quite short thread up again, instead of appending on the new one
Yesterday, coming in over 1 feet depth over the sandbanks, and towards shore, ride all the way up high, and then lean back with wing up high, and either fall on my back, or jump off.
The best way, is if you fall all the way down on your back (the LEAST graceful), you have way more control, and can avoid having the wingtip touch the bottom, as you can (even strapless) keep the wing out of the water at the last part
